Vin/Yin Yoga

Vin/Yin Yoga
Mix Intensity and Fluidity with Humble Warrior

What Is Vin/Yin Yoga?

Vin/Yin Yoga is a marriage of two opposing styles – Vinyasa and Yin. One is dynamic, while the other is passive and still.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga, arguably the most popular style, features continual flow of movement. It can be strenuous on the muscles while forcing you to focus your mind on your breath and posture. Throughout the process you’ll challenge the body while remaining strong, fluid, and in control.

Yin Yoga

With Yin Yoga, you focus on much more passive poses. These poses don’t focus as much on muscle use as they do on deep connective tissues. Poses can be held for many minutes, which allows you to enter a meditative state and get in touch with areas of your body. It’s the opposite of fast-paced exercise programs, allowing you to reflect, feel, and address deep-seated pain or trauma. You’ll regulate energy and bring a sense of calming and balance to oneself.

Work Out

Yoga is an excellent source of exercise, since it keeps your muscles active while also promoting the flexibility needed to expand your range of motion.

Find Peace

At Humble Warrior, we believe in yoga's ability to help you find inner peace. This happens because you use excess energy while focusing your mind.

How Vin and Yin Compliment Each Other

You can complete a few Yin exercises to increase energy flow and open up the body to a new range of motion before beginning more dynamic activities. Vinyasa can capitalize on this renewed energy and seamlessly direct it throughout the body as you challenge the muscles and focus on balance.
